Oncology Sales Specialist – Knoxville
MPLN is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Oncology Sales Specialist based in Maryville, Tennessee and covering Tennessee, Kentucky and the southern states bordering Tennessee. In this capacity the candidate will be fully engaged in selling and promoting oncology testing services, developing new markets and expanding the relationships of current clients.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in the life sciences
- Minimum 3 years medical sales experience, preferably in oncology, anatomic pathology and flow cytometry; previous oncology sales highly desirable
- Documented record of success as evidenced by awards, rankings, etc.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Successful performance of the Oncology Sales Specialist will require the following:
- Extensive knowledge of the operation of the clinical and pathology laboratory
- Ability to disseminate technical material to a variety of interest groups
- Possess excellent organizational and communication skills
- Possess clear understanding of the sales cycle as applied to a technical product or service
- Proficiency with computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, databases, e-mail and customer relationship management software
- Ability to travel up to 60% of the time
This position requires specific medical or laboratory sales experience. Pharmaceutical reps selling into the oncology practice may also be considered.
Programmer /Developer
A full-time position is open immediately for a suitably qualified Senior Level Programmer/Developer. The successful candidate will have significant knowledge of application development in a networked environment, 5 to 10 years experience in an application development position, expert level skills using the .NET framework, expert level skills in Microsoft SQL databases, experience with both desktop applications and web sites as well as knowledge of standard object-oriented programming techniques, database design and knowledge of Web-based application architecture. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related degree, or equivalent education and work experience.
