Molecular Pathology Laboratory Network

The January 2009 issue of the Journal of Molecular Diagnostics features a special article on laboratory guidelines for detecting and reporting BCR-ABL drug resistance mutations in chronic myelogenous leukemia and acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

The article, which is co-authored by Dr. Neil Quigley, presents guidelines for BCR-ABL mutation analysis including considerations of triggers for analysis, assay performance and reporting, and includes a summary of current practice in clinical laboratories in the United States and Canada.
