Dr. Jitakshi De Joins Hematopathology Team at MPLN


Dr. Jitakshi De recently joined the hematopathology team that provides technical and professional support to Molecular Pathology Laboratory Network, Inc. (MPLN). 

Prior to joining MPLN, Dr. De was a staff hematopathologist at Genoptix Laboratory in Carlsbad, CA and an assistant professor at UT-Houston Medical School in the department of pathology and laboratory medicine.

Dr. De earned her doctorate in medicine from Duke University School of Medicine where she was a recipient of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute Fellowship for medical students. She obtained her bachelor's degree in biology with highest honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She completed her fellowship in hematopathology at the University of Michigan Hospital and her residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of Texas at Houston Medical School.                                                                          

Dr. De holds a physician's license in the states of California, Michigan, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia, and is a diplomate of the American Board of Pathology. She has authored and co-authored 12 peer-reviewed publications and numerous abstract presentations.

She is a fellow of the American Society of Clinical Pathology and the College of American Pathologists, and a member of the Association of Molecular Pathology, United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology, International Clinical Cytometry Society and the International Society of Laboratory Hematology.
