Immunohistochemistry

Managed by Kelly S. Parman, MS, MT (ASCP), QIHC, the immunohistochemistry (IHC) division at Molecular Pathology Laboratory Network, Inc. (MPLN) utilizes advanced diagnostic techniques to evaluate protein expression of cells within tissues. Immunohistochemistry assists in identifying the distribution and localization of biomarkers, aiding in diagnosis and targeted therapy selection.  

IHC utilizes enzyme-based reactions in conjunction with mono- or polyclonal antibodies to evaluate protein expression levels and locate sub cellular antigens in tissues.
