2008 Pinnacle AwardsThe 2008 Pinnacle Awards honored nine Knoxville businesses and individuals for excellence in their fields and in the community. The Innovator Award is given to a business that has developed a new technology, innovative product or service or applied a business system or service in an innovative way.

“Like all the businesses nominated in every category, MPLN is in pursuit of excellence,” Hubbard said. “For us, that means being at the forefront of laboratory medicine with the most innovative molecular, cellular and clinical diagnostics, as well as novel research and development and clinical trial services.”

The Pinnacle Awards gala, held at the Knoxville Convention Center, was attended by more than 650 people. In 2007, MPLN received the Business Excellence Award in the mid-size category and was among the three finalists for the Innovator Award.

“Winning two Pinnacle Awards in a row is a great accomplishment that I am very proud to say we have earned,” said Hubbard. “MPLN is looking forward to even more exciting milestones in the future and appreciate the support and recognition the medical and business communities have given to us for our innovative success.”
