    Description
CA 19-9 is a tumor marker used in the prognosis of pancreatic cancer. It is consider the best serum marker because of its high sensitivity and specificity. Usually, the tumor marker is not seen as useful in screening asymptomatic populations for pancreatic cancer, but its effectiveness has shown useful in studies of advanced cancer.
